License
Your license defines how many sites you can pair and which features are enabled. You find it under System Administration → License. Only an Owner sees this tab.
What the tab shows
Section titled “What the tab shows”| Partner ID | the ID from setup |
| Tier | Free Community Edition, Silver, Gold or Enterprise |
| Sites | used and available slots |
| License valid until | licenses are usually perpetual, shown as no expiry |
| Automatic updates until | up to which release date new versions are installed automatically; with the Free Community Edition manual updates only |
| Current license key | pass it on if you want a higher tier |
Which tier includes what is listed under License tiers.
Moving to a different tier
Section titled “Moving to a different tier”A change, for example from the Free Community Edition to Gold, needs no reinstallation. Your keys stay the same, and all sites stay paired.
- Copy the Current license key and send it with your order via the enquiry form.
- You receive a new license key in return.
- Paste it under Paste new license and click Activate license.
The server checks that the key is genuine, matches your partner ID and belongs to your key pair. If PHP may not write config.php, the page shows two lines that you insert into config.php by hand.
When the license expires
Section titled “When the license expires”A time-limited license only blocks new sites once it expires: a deployment code for a new site can no longer be created or redeemed. Existing sites keep running, and the tier’s features remain.
Freeing a slot
Section titled “Freeing a slot”A site occupies its slot until you delete it. How to do that is described under Managing sites.
