Installing the plugin

The LoxBerry SmartFleet Gateway is an ordinary LoxBerry plugin. Like any other plugin, it is installed through the LoxBerry’s plugin management.

Requirements

Section titled “Requirements”
  • LoxBerry version 4.0.0.15 or newer, on the same network as the Miniservers
  • the Miniservers are entered in the LoxBerry, with user and password
  • the LoxBerry can reach the internet; during installation it downloads a few Debian packages (password checking, packing and encrypting backups)

Installation

  1. Get the archive. Download the plugin archive (ZIP) from the Download page. Older versions are on GitHub.

  2. Open the plugin management. Log in to the LoxBerry’s interface and open the plugin management.

  3. Install. Select the ZIP (or enter the ZIP’s address), enter the LoxBerry’s SecurePIN and start the installation. Depending on the LoxBerry it takes one to two minutes.

  4. Open the plugin. The plugin is called LoxBerry SmartFleet Gateway. After installation the Status page shows Not connected to the server yet.

All that is missing now is the code from your partner UI: Pairing a site.

Updating the plugin

You install a new plugin version the same way as the first one. The pairing, the remote maintenance password and all settings are kept.

It is more convenient from the partner UI: when a newer version is released, the LoxBerry’s device page shows it under Available, and Update now installs it right away. With Device updates in the server updates, the plugin updates itself automatically, see Server updates.
